MANCHESTER, NH – Nov. 13 is World Pancreatic Cancer Day, a day to raise awareness about this disease with an over-arching goal of doubling the survival rate by the year 2020, through fundraising and research.

The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer remains in the single digits at just 7 percent and in a recent Pancreatic Cancer Action Network report published in the American Association of Cancer Research journal Cancer Research, projections indicate that by the year 2020, pancreatic cancer will move from the nation’s fourth to the second leading cause of cancer-related death.
