Flood watchMANCHESTER, NH — A flood watch is in place for New Hampshire for Sunday.

Mixed frozen precipitation Saturday night will slowly push up out of New Hampshire with a chance of slippery conditions north of Concord. Light rain overnight will change over to moderate rain  later Sunday morning with hourly rainfall rates of up to a quarter-inch per hour possible. Highest rainfall intensity will be in the later part of Sunday afternoon. Rainfall totals of one to two inches are expected.

The National Weather Service is calling for heavy rainfall that could push some rivers and streams to capacity, and produce some urban and poor-drainage flooding Sunday afternoon and evening across areas of New Hampshire, primarily in Belknap, Merrimack, Carroll, Southern Grafton and Sullivan counties.
