Public meeting Jan. 4 to discuss rail trail, bike projects

MANCHESTER, NH – The public is invited to attend a Local Concerns Meeting on January 4, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the Manchester Public Works building, 475 Valley St., for discussion of two Rail Trail/Bike and Pedestrian connection projects in Manchester. The City’s consultant, VHB, will present information on the proposed projects.

The intent of the meeting is to get feedback from the public, municipal officials, resource agencies, and abutting property owners relative to the existing bike and pedestrian conditions along the project corridors, as part of the data collection phase. Proposed design alternatives will be presented at a subsequent meeting. Two projects will be discussed as follows:

  • 6:30 p.m.: South Manchester Trail Extension South: Gold Street to Perimeter Road State Project Numbers: #29811 Federal Project Number: X-A004(311)
  • 7:30 PM: South Manchester Trail Extension North + Connections: South Beach St to Riverwalk State Project Numbers: #40428 Federal Project Number: X-A004(399)
