Progress and Congress Forum set for June 30

TRAD logo FINAL CLR WEB V1he primary race for U.S. Congress is heating up and occurs in less than 12 weeks. To help voters prepare to cast ballots, Rights and Democracy will host the free “Progress & Congress Forum” for Congressional District One. It will be held at Saint Anselm College on June 30. Doors open at 12 p.m. and the program will run from 1 – 3 p.m.

Radio personality Arnie Arnesen will moderate and former Ohio State Sen. Nina Turner, President of Our Revolution will give the keynote speech.

Congress candids

Invitations have been sent to Democrats Chris Pappas and Maura Sullivan and to other Republican candidates. They have not responded yet.

During the 2018 legislative session, Rights & Democracy worked with organizational allies and members to pass legislation that supports transgender rights, expands Medicaid, promotes commuter rail, and ensures quality public education. We also worked on legislation to enact  paid family leave.
