Primary results: Ruais and Cavanaugh advance to November general election

MANCHESTER,  NH –  Mayoral candidates Jay Ruais and Kevin Cavanaugh will move on to the ballot in November based on Tuesday night’s primary election results.

Ruais took 4,291 votes, leading the four-way race for mayor, followed by Cavanaugh who got 2,472 votes, Will Stewart, who got 1,973 votes and June Trisciani, who got 1,455 votes.

In the Ward races for alderman, Chris Morgan and Bryce Kaw-uh advance to the general election; in Ward 5, incumbent Tony Sapienza will run against Kathleen Paquette; and in Ward 11 Norm Vincent will run against Nicole Leapley.
