Portland Sea Dogs

PORTLAND, Maine – Despite three home runs, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats couldn’t pull out a win on Friday night, falling 5-4 to the Portland Sea Dogs.

Josh Palacios, Chad Spanberger and Riley Adams went deep for New Hampshire in the first, seventh and ninth respectively. Nash Knight came home on Adams homer, the fourth for Adams in ten games and his second in as many days.

Palacios’ dinger gave New Hampshire a brief lead that was removed by Joey Curletta’s RBI double in the bottom of the first.

Not to be outdone, Brett Netzer and Austin Rei also went deep for Portland in the second and eighth respectively, with Rei bringing home Netzer on his blast.

Jarren Duran’s single also scored a run for the Sea Dogs in the fourth.

Zach Logue (3-7) was the loser, giving up two runs off four hits in a three-inning appearance. Denyi Reyes (8-12) was the winner, going seven innings for Portland, and allowing just three hits while striking out nine.
