The Binghamton Rumble Ponies hit four home runs off New Hampshire Fisher Cats pitching on Sunday, powering them to a 12-4 victory.

Kevin Taylor started things off with a homer in the fourth, a prelude to Binghamton’s 10 run fifth inning.

Eleven Rumble Pony batters came to the plate in the fifth, with Dale Burdick recording his first two home runs of the year and Jio Mier hitting a grand slam to right field.

Luis Guillorme added one more RBI in the seventh to complete Binghamton’s scoring.

New Hampshire got all four of their runs prior to the deluge, with Patrick Cantwell doubling in Ryan McBroom and Harold Ramirez for the first two runs in the second, followed by a Derrick Loveless sacrifice fly later in the inning.

Ramirez brought home McBroom on a line drive single in the third.

Francisco Rios (3-3) got the loss for New Hampshire, leaving after one out in the fifth. He allowed eight of Binghamton’s runs, allowing seven hits and six walks while striking out one.

He wasn’t the only New Hampshire pitcher who struggled. Binghamton had five batters with multi-hit days (Taylor, Guillorme, Burdick, Patrick Biondi, and Kevin Kaczmarski), and every Binghamton batter getting at least one hit except for Colton Plaia.

New Hampshire scattered seven hits, with Ramirez and Gunnar Heidt grabbing two apiece.

Donavan Hand (1-0) got the win, going seven innings and allowing four hits and a walk along with two strikeouts.

With the win, Binghamton is now one game behind the Trenton Thunder in the Eastern League’s Eastern Division. They’re also 7 ½ games ahead of last-place New Hampshire.

New Hampshire (10-19) now goes on a six-game road trip, beginning with a three-game set in Hartford. Jon Harris (1-2, 7.18 ERA) will take the mound for the Fisher Cats with Konner Wade (1-2, 3.06 ERA) going up for Hartford.
