MANCHESTER, NH – Three people were found to be “squatting” at an Agnes Street apartment last week, and after investigation, were found to be in possession of drugs and a weapon.

Manchester Police responded to 235 Agnes St. for a criminal trespass call on August 3, 2018. The building manager advised officers that the apartment had belonged to a man who had recently passed away, and that it should have been vacant, yet he knew people may have been “squatting” inside of the apartment.

Police entered the apartment at about 8:30 a.m. and found William Fitzpatrick, 35, no fixed address, sitting at the table. Fitzpatrick had been a caretaker for the person who previously occupied the apartment prior to his death, so he had access to the vacant apartment, according to the building manager.

Police also located Edwin Guzman, 36, and Angerlina Fournier, 26 of Manchester, inside the back bedroom. A .40 caliber handgun was located on the nightstand next to Guzman, who was lying in bed.

The handgun had five bullets in the magazine, but none in the chamber. Both Guzman and Fournier denied ownership of the firearm. The officers also located a safe with an open door, near Fournier, who was standing in the bedroom. Inside the safe they noticed what appeared to be crack cocaine, so they placed the three into custody for criminal trespassing and secured a search warrant for the apartment.

The search warrant was executed at 5:30 p.m. Friday night by members of the Special Enforcement Division. Detectives seized 217 grams of cocaine with an approximate street value of $7,500 and 73 grams of crack cocaine, which is estimated to have an $8,000 street value.

The officers located a small amount of heroin inside of Fournier’s purse so she was charged with possession of  a controlled drug and criminal trespass. Fournier is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on August 6, 2018.

Both Guzman and Fitzpatrick were charged with criminal trespassing. Guzman is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on August 6, 2018. Fitzpatrick was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on September 7, 2018.
