Police seek shooter after bullet takes out car window

MANCHESTER, NH – Detective Michael Lavallee was working a construction detail at the intersection of Pine Street and Laurel Street at 1 p.m. on Aug. 3 when he heard two gunshots in the area. Detective Lavallee called in the “shots fired” call and ran toward Central Street where the gunshots originated.

He located a 2011 Honda parked behind 174 Central Street. The vehicle sustained damage to the rear window as well as the front windshield. The damage appeared to be caused by a single bullet. Investigators located the owner who was unaware of the incident. The vehicle was towed to police headquarters in an attempt to locate a bullet or bullet fragments.

There is no suspect information at this time. The case is active and ongoing, so if anyone has information leading to the identification of a possible suspect, please contact the detective unit at 603-792-5500.
