On September 10, 2014, approximately 10 p.m., Officers Din Jenkins and Jon Duchense were patrolling the area of Union and Merrimack Streets when they observed a large group of individuals standing on the sidewalk, near the intersection.

The officers recognized Philip Joseph, 22, of Manchester, who had an outstanding warrant out of Hillsborough County for criminal threatening.

The officers stepped out of the cruiser and informed Joseph that he was under arrest. Joseph allegedly turned around and pushed Officer Jenkins in his upper torso and began running away from the scene. A foot pursuit took place and ultimately they lost sight of Joseph in the area of Cumberland Farms, on Union Street at Valley Street.

Joseph will now face additional charges of  simple assault, resisting arrest/detention and violation of bail conditions.  Contact Manchester Police Department at (603) 668-8711 if you have information that may lead to Joseph’s arrest.
