MANCHESTER, NH – Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob the 7-Eleven on Maple Street early Wednesday.

Officer Raymond Lamy responded to 557 Maple St. at 12:35 a.m. on Sept. 28 for an attempted armed robbery. He spoke with both clerks who told police that a man entered the store and asked for a pack of cigarettes before brandishing a box-cutter style knife. The would-be robber also demanded cash from the register. One of the clerks picked up a pizza cutter from the counter, which caused the man to flee the store empty-handed.

Police are looking for a white male, approximately 5-foot-7 inches tall, 140 pounds, with light facial hair. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, blue jeans and a dark colored long-sleeved shirt.

One of the clerks described a dime-sized tattoo on the man’s right hand. It was located between his index finger and his thumb.

Please contact the Manchester Police Detective at 603-792-5500 or Manchester Police Crimeline at 603-624-4040 if you recognize the man in the photograph. You may be eligible for cash reward should your crime tip lead to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
