Police seek information regarding alleged store robbery

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Manchester Police Department looking for additional information following an arrest on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., one individual notified police that there was an attempted robbery at the Z&J Market on Bridge Street, with a suspect fighting a store employee.

A suspect, identified as 56-year-old Charles Geer, was being restrained by a store employee and two bystanders when police arrived on the scene.

According to a statement released by the Manchester Police Department, Geer was brandishing a knife during the incident and attempted to flee the store.

He was later found and charged with alleged attempted armed robbery.

No further information is available as of 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Anyone accused of a crime is innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
