Police seek identity of bicyclist killed Friday night

MANCHESTER, NH – A bicyclist was killed July 3 after colliding with a car on Merrimack Street.

Just before 11 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle crash reported in the area of Merrimack and Hanover streets.

Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle, a 2014 BMW, was traveling west on Merrimack Street from Hanover Street when it collided with the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was taken to Elliot Hospital with multiple serious injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 11:23 p.m. The identity of the bicyclist is unknown at this time. Police say the victim is a white male in his 50s or 60s.

The driver of the BMW was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Manchester Police Traffic Unit Collision Reconstruction and Analysis Team. Anyone with information regarding this crash is urged to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
