Police say no evidence of gunfire on Dutton Street

There were some reports of fireworks in the area, police said.

MANCHESTER, NH – On May 27, 2019 around 4:30 p.m. Manchester Police responded to the area of Dutton and Concord streets for reports of shots fired.

Arriving officers reportedly saw someone on the roof with a long gun. A perimeter was set up and the area shut down.

Police located the people involved and learned that this started with an argument. People in the vicinity reported hearing gunshots.

The man found on the roof said he had gotten his gun for protection.

Police did not find any evidence of gunshots and there were no injuries. Fireworks were reported in the area.

The investigation is still ongoing.
