Police say death of 1-year-old at Econo Lodge ‘suspicious’

MANCHESTER, NH — Police have determined the death of a 1-year-old at the Econo Lodge in Manchester Monday night is considered “suspicious.”

Manchester Police responded to the Econo Lodge on October 7, 2019, at approximately 6 p.m. for a medical issue involving a 1-year-old girl. When police arrived the toddler was unresponsive and was taken to Catholic Medical Center. She did not regain consciousness and was later pronounced dead. The death is considered suspicious.

Last night, Manchester Police interviewed numerous people at the scene and collected evidence.

Detectives are still actively investigating and are still at the Econo lodge at this hour. An autopsy to determine the cause of death was scheduled for this morning at 9 a.m. There will be no more information released until the results of the autopsy are in.
