MANCHESTER, NH – A city man was treated for a non-life-threatening injury after accidentally shooting himself Tuesday night.
Officer Brett Fernald responded to Catholic Medical Center at approximately 9:30 p.m. on July 7 to investigate a patient with a gunshot wound.
Gregory Keszthelyi, 49, of Manchester, suffered a self-inflicted wound. He told police he was handling his .40 caliber handgun when he accidentally shot himself. Officer Fernald took possession of the handgun and also photographed the scene of the shooting, 203 Moore Street.
Keszthely has not been charged but police said he could face a reckless conduct charge. This was the third accidental shooting reported in the past week, police said.
