MANCHESTER, N.H. – Police are asking the community for help in finding a suspect in an attempted robbery.

On July 13 at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to Crosstown Variety on Amory Street after reports of an attempted robbery with a knife.

The suspect walked into the store, pulled out a three-inch-blade and demanded money from the owner. The owner refused and in response picked up a broom and demanded that the suspect leave, threatening to call the police.

The suspect left without any money, but could not be found despite an extensive search of the area.

No details on the appearance of the suspect were provided.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to call 603-668-8711.
