MANCHESTER, NH – Officer William Reagan conducted a motor vehicle stop at Chestnut and Myrtle streets at approximately 3:30 p.m. on November 11, 2017 after he observed a motor vehicle infraction. He spoke with the operator of the pick-up truck, Timothy Fenoff, 44, of Manchester, and his passenger, who was later identified as Pedro Jimenez, 36, of Manchester.

Jimemez fled the vehicle as soon as Officer Reagan walked back to his cruiser to complete a license check. Officer Reagan gave chase and caught up to Jimenez in the driveway of 45 Myrtle St. Jimenez fell to the ground, so the officer attempted to place handcuffs on him, but Jimenez who was struggling with Officer Reagan, struck the officer several times and eventually escaped his grasp, which allowed Jimenez to flee toward the rear of 45 Myrtle Street.

Officer Reagan deployed his Taser, which temporarily halted Jimenez, but Jimenez got up again and ran south toward Orange Street. Officer Reagan tackled Jimenez to the ground at the intersection of Orange and Chestnut streets, where he was able to place a handcuff on him even though he continued to assault the Officer Reagan. Officer Thomas Donavan arrived and assisted with handcuffing Jimenez who was then transported to police headquarters.

Officer Reagan was injured during the struggle, so he was taken to the Elliot Hospital where he was treated for a concussion and minor abrasions. Jimenez was charged with resisting arrest/detention (felony), criminal mischief, simple assault and an electronic bench warrant. He was scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on November 13, 2017.
