Police: Love triangle leads to stabbing on Cartier Street

MANCHESTER, NH – Two men were arrested March 1 after a stabbing incident apparently prompted by what police described as a lovers’ triangle.

On March 1 at approximately 10:30 p.m., police officers responded to the area of 62 Cartier St. for a fight in progress. During the investigation, officers learned that a 27-year-old Manchester woman was visiting Jose Acevedo, 26, at his residence, 62 Cartier St., #1, in Manchester. Nathan Lesage, 24, of 150 Blaine Street,#2, Manchester, also showed up at that address, and an argument took place, as Lesage accused the woman and Acevedo of being involved in a relationship.

The accusation resulted in an altercation during which Lesage received a superficial stab wound to the abdomen by Acevedo.

Acevedo was arrested an is charged with first-degree assault. He also was found to have an outstanding electronic bench warrant. Acevedo will be arraigned through Hillsborough County Superior Court North.

Nathan Lesage was also wanted and arrested on an outstanding electronic bench warrant out of the 9th Circuit District Manchester.
