Police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store clerk at gunpoint early Friday morning.

Police say at about 4:40 a.m. on Aug. 8 a man entered the TN Gas & Convenience store, 90 Bridge St., located at the corner of Chestnut and Bridge streets brandishing a black handgun.

He approached the clerk, identified as Raed Al Rubaye, 39, of Manchester, and demanded cash. Al Rubaye and the robber struggled briefly before the robber took off with the cash drawer and an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as a white male, about 5-foot-6 inches tall, last seen wearing a dark-colored winter hat, a dark-colored sweatshirt and a New England Patriots T-shirt. He fled on foot toward Chestnut Street before driving away in a dark-colored sedan, described as an older model Acura.
