Police investigate weekend break-in at Parkside Middle School

MANCHESTER, NH –Police are investigating a weekend burglary at Parkside Middle School.

On Nov. 15 Officer Steven Cornacchia responded to the middle school, located at 75 Parkside Ave., for the reported burglary after it was called in by school principal Forrest Ransdell, who told police he had opened up the school around 6:20 p.m. for scheduled basketball practice.

He discovered the burglary when he noticed a broken window on one of the doors located on the northeast side of the building.

Ransdell told police he believed the burglary took place between 2 p.m. on November 14 and 6:20 p.m. He was unsure if anything of value was taken, but noted multiple lockers had been opened and the items within were strewn about on the hallway floors.

Juvenile Unit detectives are investigating the incident, but anyone with information leading to the identification and apprehension of a suspect(s), please call the Manchester Police Department at 668-8711. You can also contact the Manchester Police Crimeline, 624-4040 to provide an anonymous tip. You may be eligible for a cash reward if your tip leads to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect(s).
