MANCHESTER, NH —Several police cruisers were parked along Green Street between Union and Beech streets after reports of gunfire Monday night.

Manchester Police Lt. Shawn McCabe confirmed that an investigation was underway in the area of 255 Green Street. Reports of shots fired came in at about 9:12 p.m.

Officers with flashlights  could be seen walking along Green Street and inside the basketball courts, searching along the ground and in an alleyway alongside the park.

A swarm of parked police cruisers and a police critical response van were concentrated along Union Street where more officers were fanning out searching along the sidewalks and side streets with flashlights. The van later moved onto Green Street where it remained parked.

There are no reported injuries McCabe said.

We’ll update the story as more information becomes available.
