Police investigate report of gunfire in Brown Mitchell Park

MANCHESTER, NH – At approximately 5:30 p.m. several police units responded to the area of Brown Mitchell Park, 229 W. Mitchell St., for a report of gunshots. One caller reported they saw a white male in possession of a firearm. A second caller confirmed that a shot was fired in the area of the Disk Golf course, which is located near Pine Grove Cemetery.

A subsequent investigation revealed that an altercation occurred between multiple people during which time a white male produced a firearm and fired at least one round.

A heavy police presence was seen at Pine Grove Cemetery, and the cemetery entrance, as well as nearby street entrances, were blocked by police, some with rifles. Police released no further information about the staging at the cemetery, or the incident.
