MANCHESTER, NH – Police were called to 631 Silver St. for a medical emergency involving a 1o-month-old boy who was not breathing.

Manchester Police Chief Nick Willard said the child was deceased by the time police and emergency crews arrived.

“Right now we’re in our preliminary investigation, but there is nothing outwardly suggesting foul play,” Willard said.

Police were inside the three-story residence for several hours after they arrived at the scene around 3 p.m. The infant was at home with family members at the time of the call, Willard said.

Although the Attorney General’s office was notified, there was no immediate involvement, pending autopsy results.

The child’s body was transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Concord from the scene to further determine the cause of death, Willard said.
