Police investigate bullets holes at Central Street multi-family

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police responded to the 200 block of Central Street (between Union and Beech streets) approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday after a resident called to report possible gunshots in the area.

Officers confirmed the call when they observed bullet holes on the first floor of a Central Street three-family residence. The officers spoke with the occupants of the first-floor apartment, which included a mother and her 12-year-old child. The two residents woke up to the sound of gunshots and immediately noticed several bullet holes in the apartment. Fortunately, they were not injured as a result of the reckless act.

Officers canvassed the area and spoke with multiple Central Street residents. They also located several spent shell casings outside of the apartment. Detectives were called to the scene and an active investigation is underway to determine who shot into the building.
