MANCHESTER, NH – On December 21 at approximately 8:20 p.m. a Manchester Police Department patrol cruiser was involved in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pine and Valley streets.  EMS responded to the crash scene to treat those involved for what appeared to be minor injuries.

The preliminary investigation at the scene indicated that a 2014 Hyundai Sonata, operated by a Colton Rocha, 22, of Bedford, failed to stop for a red light while traveling eastbound on Valley Street at the intersection of Pine Street.  The Hyundai Sonata and the patrol cruiser, which was traveling northerly on Pine Street, collided in the intersection.  The Hyundai Sonata then struck a Dodge Caravan, operated by Steven Jordan, 67, of Bedford, who was stopped at a red light on Valley Street.  All three vehicles involved in the crash sustained major damage, which resulted in all three being towed from the crash scene.

Sgt. Michael Bergeron and Sgt. Robert Bellenoit were inside the police cruiser at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation by the Manchester Police Traffic Unit Collision Reconstruction and Analysis team.  Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
