Police converge in Auburn, arrest suspect in Mass. home invasion/sex assault

NH State Police CruiserMANCHESTER, NH — Timothy Tucker, 33, of Melrose, Mass., was arrested Jan. 11, as a fugitive of justice after his vehicle was spotted in Auburn. He was identified as a suspect in a  recent Chelmsford, Mass., home invasion/sex assault.

At approximately 2:10 p.m.  on Jan. 11, Auburn NH Police located a vehicle on Tower Hill Road that matched the description of a vehicle wanted out of Chelmsford.

Auburn Police, Candia Police, Manchester Waterworks Police, and New Hampshire State Police Troop A all responded to the scene in an attempt to locate Tucker.  At approximately 3:30, Trooper Devlin, and Trooper Ingham along with Chief Mike Howe of the Manchester Water Works Police, apprehended Tucker on a trail adjacent to Tower Hill Pond.

Tucker was held at the Rockingham County Jail on the following charges: fugitive from justice and possession of narcotics. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
