MANCHESTER, NH – A concerned neighbor called police after he noticed a vehicle parked illegally near Jewett Street School at 1:50 p.m. on November 24. The caller said the vehicle was driving slowly throughout the neighborhood prior to parking illegally and he felt the individuals inside the vehicle may have been “casing” the neighborhood.

Officer Derek Cataldo located a Dodge Stratus with a driver and two subjects standing outside of the vehicle. The vehicle was illegally parked in front of 114 Jewett Street within a short distant of Jewett Street School. Officer Erik Slocum noticed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle as he spoke with the operator, Kenny Jean Pierre, 23, of Manchester. Officer Cataldo spoke with the men standing outside of the vehicle and identified them as Corey Goupiltorres, 22, of Goffstown, and another man, who was not charged.

Officer Slocum located a bag of heroin (6.1grams) inside Jean Pierre’s pocket during a pat down search. He placed him into custody and located a bag of crack cocaine (2.4 grams) and a small bag of marijuana inside of his pants pocket. Officer Cataldo observed a handgun wedged in between the driver’s seat and the center console. He retrieved the SCCY 9mm handgun and placed it into evidence. Jen Pierre was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug and felonious use of a firearm. He was released on $3,000 cash/surety and is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on December 7, 2017.

Goupiltorres was arrested on an electronic bench warrant and transported to police headquarters.
