Police: Man arrested for allegedly recording in women’s bathrooms, dressing rooms

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police have arrested a man allegedly going into women’s restrooms and dressing rooms with the intent of creating recordings.

Travis Demers, 21, of Manchester was apprehended on Aug. 9 at the Mall of New Hampshire after a woman reported a man inside one of the women’s restrooms.

The man was identified as Demers, who had allegedly entered a women’s restroom at the mall on July 27 where he remained for over an hour, possibly with the intent to record women in the restroom.

Demers was also identified on security camera footage at Savers on South Maple Street on Aug. 2 taking pictures of a woman in a dressing room.

He was charged with two counts of alleged violation of privacy.

Police are continuing to investigate the incidents.

Anyone who used the restrooms between 1 and 2:30 p.m. on July 27 or before 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 and has concerns that they may have been recorded can contact Manchester Police Detective Ryan Heile at 603-792-5534 or rheile@manchesternh.gov
