HARTFORD, Conn. – The New Hampshire Fisher Cats won’t see the Hartford Yard Goats again until 2020 and they’ll have to wait until then for revenge, falling 6-3 on Sunday night.

Eight of the game’s nine runs came off home runs, with Forrest Wall (first inning), Nash Knight (fourth inning) and Kevin Smith (fourth inning) proving New Hampshire’s home runs. Hartford’s home runs came courtesy of Scott Burcham (second inning), Brett Boswell (fourth inning), Mylz Jones (sixth inning) and Brian Serven (sixth inning). All of the home runs outside of Boswell’s were one run homers.

The other run was scored in the fifth by Hartford’s Carlos Herrera, who came home on a Tyler Nevin single that almost brought home Manuel Melendez as well.

William Ouellette (1-1) was the loser, allowing three runs off four hits and two walks over two innings. The win went to Heath Holder (5-2), scattering seven hits over the game’s first five innings, with Scott Griggs earning his fourth save of the year thanks to a perfect ninth.

Wall had two other hits that did not go over the wall, while Nevin and Jones also contributed non-home run hits as well. Herrera also finished with a multi-hit day.

The Fisher Cats return to New Hampshire on Monday night, putting out Justin Dillon (1-2, 7.62 ERA) against Portland lefthander Daniel McGrath (2-0, 2.40 ERA).
