CONCORD, NH –  Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) and Planned Parenthood NH Action Fund proudly celebrate the resilience, strength, and activism of LGBTQ communities by joining efforts to stand up, push forward, and organize for change during the month of June. As we continue to fight back against those who wish to undo the progress of the last half century, we stand with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people in the fight for full equality — many of whom turn to Planned Parenthood for health care, information, and education.

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England believes everyone deserves high quality, compassionate health care – no matter their gender or sexual orientation. That’s why PPNNE is proud to stand with the LGBTQ community and provide a safe and welcoming place to access health care and information.

PPtabling 2PPNNE offers transgender/gender-nonconforming services and hormone therapy at all five New Hampshire health center locations, including PrEP/PEP medications to significantly reduce the risk of HIV. In addition to health care services, Planned Parenthood NH Action Fund is proud to advocate for inclusive policies in the New Hampshire legislature, such as HB 1319, to ensure protections for transgender Granite Staters.

Sabrina Dunlap, VP of Public Policy for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, said:

“At Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, we are proud to stand with LGBTQ people in the fight for full rights, equality, and justice. We open our doors to all people, regardless of gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation, and believe that all people deserve high-quality, affordable health care, and compassionate, nonjudgmental sexual health information. We know how important it is to have health care that affirms your identity, your family, and your sexuality — as well as the ability and resources to make your own health care decisions with dignity. We are proud to advocate for compassionate care at the state house, and proudly stand up and fight for New Hampshire policies that are inclusive and reflect the values that lead to healthier and more welcoming communities.”

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England is the state’s leading sexual and reproductive health care provider and advocate, serving over 11,000 NH patients last year through its five health centers, and thousands more through educational programs and outreach. PPNNE takes pride in providing high-quality, compassionate health care for LGBTQ people in our communities and understands that their identities cross intersections of race, religion, class, ethnicity, and disability. At Planned Parenthood, our doors are open to everyone who needs access to health care in a safe and welcoming place. This June, Planned Parenthood will be celebrating the month by tabling at pride events throughout the state.
