Pizza delivery driver attacked on Manchester Street

CruiserMANCHESTER, NH – On December 1, 2014, at approximately 1:20 a.m., a pizza delivery driver contacted the Manchester Police Department and reported an attempted robbery. The driver told police he was delivering a pizza to 353 Manchester St. when he was accosted by two men.

He described his attackers as white males, both with slim athletic builds and each of them was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. He believed both were wearing blue jeans. The driver said one of the men grabbed him as the other allegedly sprayed him with pepper spray or mace. He was able to grab hold of one of the men and continued struggling with him as the other robber attempted to reach into his pockets. The driver was able to rip one of the men’s sweatshirt off and the two assailants fled toward Monadnock Lane. They did not get any cash or valuables.

The isolated attack is being investigated by the Manchester Police Detective Division. Anyone with  information is encouraged to contact the Manchester Police Crimeline at 603-624-4040.
