MANCHESTER, NH – The Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University opened their Northeast-10 Conference season with a convincing 84-62 win against Saint Michael’s College on Wednesday night, climbing to 3-0 overall on the season.

The visiting Purple Knights never held a lead in the contest, managing only a 6-6 tie early in the first half before the Penmen began to pull away, opening up a 31-point lead by halftime.

St. Michael’s Levi Holmes III (East Brunswick, NJ) led all scorers with 17 points on the night, with Daiquaise Andrews (Queens, NY) and Shawn Montague (Yorktown Heights, NY) providing 15 points each for the Penmen.

Andrews came just short of a triple double, grabbing eight rebounds and a career-high 10 assists while Justyn Lacy (Catskill, NY) provided 10 points off the bench.

The Penmen return to action Saturday, Nov. 17 (4 p.m.) when they play host to Florida Southern College at the Field House.
