It’s October 10, 2019. Here’s another recap of what’s been going on lately in Southern New Hampshire University sports.

Women’s Soccer
The 23rd ranked Penmen blanked a still winless Saint Thomas Aquinas 5-0 on Tuesday.
Sophomore Sydney Carney (Northborough, Mass.) got her first career hat trick with goals in the 5th, 65th and 69th minutes.
Junior Victoria Roulson (East Falmouth, Mass.) and junior Allyson Patterson (Seekonk, Mass.) had the other two goals.
Patterson has recorded at least one goal or assist in nine of the Penmen’s ten matches this season, leading the team with eight goals in total.
The Penmen (7-3-0, 4-3-0 NE-10) return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 (11 a.m.) when they take on Le Moyne College.
Women’s Volleyball
The Penmen needed just three sets to take down Assumption on Tuesday, dominating with a 13-point win in the final set.
Freshman Juliana Pacini (São Paolo, Brazil) had nine kills and eight digs, with senior Joanne Coffey (Merrimack, N.H.) contributing three kills, 16 assists and four digs.
The Penmen (6-7) are back in action Saturday, Oct. 12 (4 p.m.) when they play host to Roberts Wesleyan College at the Stan Spirou Field House.
Field Hockey
Senior Laura van der Doorn (Beverwijk, The Netherlands) and sophomore Cameron Whelan (Seabrook, N.H.) scored the Penmen’s goals as ninth-ranked Southern New Hampshire earned a 2-1 victory over Bentley on Wednesday.
All three goals occurred during the first quarter, with Bentley managing just two shots on goal throughout the contest.
Southern New Hampshire (8-3, 5-2 NE-10) returns to Larkin Field on Saturday (October 12) when it hosts Saint Thomas Aquinas College in a Northeast-10 Conference clash at 1 p.m.
