MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University couldn’t stop Stonehill sophomore Michael Boen on Saturday night, but fortunately they were able to stop the rest of his teammates, earning a comfortable 72-40 win.

Boen (Mansfield, Mass.) led all scorers with 27 points and added 11 rebounds in the defeat, a defeat that solidified quickly after an early 14-point SNHU run.

Although Stonehill managed to narrow the lead somewhat with a 7-2 run of their own, the Penmen built an 11-point lead by the break that only continued to grow after the two teams returned for the second half.

In contrast to Stonehill, the Penmen had four scorers in double digits, led by senior Daquaise Andrews (Queens, N.Y.), who put up 16 points.

Junior Eamonn Joyce (Medford, Mass.) added 15, with 10 rebounds.

The Penmen return to action Wednesday, Feb. 13 (7:30 p.m.) when they take on Bentley University.
