MANCHESTER, N.H. –  A strong start proved pivotal for Southern New Hampshire University as they cruised to a 92-76 victory over Queens College on Sunday afternoon.

SNHU a 16-4 lead over the opening 5:45 and never looked back, growing their lead up to 37 at its zenith.

Queens did battle back in the fourth quarter to narrow the deficit, outscoring the Penmen 34-19 in the final frame, but it was far too late by that point.

Junior Molly Terry (Shrewsbury, Mass.) led the Penmen with 13 points in the victory, one of four scorers in double digits. Queen’s Beth Bonin (Cicero, N.Y.) led all scorers with 34 points.

The Penmen return to action Wednesday, Jan. 9 (5:30 p.m.) when they take on Pace University.
