MANCHESTER, NH – Vice President Mike Pence visited Manchester on Thursday for a public double-header – first an appearance to talk about Trump’s tax policy during a “Tax Cuts to Put America First” forum, followed by a fundraiser for Gov. Chris Sununu.

The tax forum was organized by America First Policies, a non-profit group organized in 2017 to support and promote President Trump‘s various policies and agenda, according to John DiStaso of WMUR. Afterward, Pence shifted gears, speaking to a crowd of about 600 who gathered at the Manchester Downtown Hotel for a fundraiser for NH Gov. Chris Sununu’s reelection campaign, bringing in about $300,000 from the sold-out crowd.

Pence spoke about Trump’s many accomplishments, and played to the hometown crowd who he said helped Trump on his path to the White House.

He said he came primarily to speak about Trump’s mission to make a more “prosperous America,” and highlighted how Trump has rolled back “more federal red tape than any President in American history,” Pence said. “And we’re just getting started.”
He also touted promises kept by Trump, including “the largest tax cuts and tax reform in American history.”
“As the president said the results can really be summed up in three words, if you’re paying attention: Jobs, jobs and jobs,” Pence said.
He also credited Trump and Sununu for New Hampshire’s economy, “the fastest-growing economy in New England,” said Pence, which he characterized as “booming.”
