HOOKSETT, NH – State police report a fatal accident that claimed the life of a Pembroke man late Thursday night.

Police were notified at about 10 p.m. on May 9 that a black Honda Civic lost control and veered off I-93 to the right and into the woods. Troopers located the vehicle against a tree after it had crashed through the guardrail and rolled over.

The operator, Brad J. Emmons, 22, of Pembroke, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The preliminary investigation indicates that Emmons lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, rolled over several times and crashed into the tree line. Speed is a factor, however all aspects of the incident remain under investigation.

The two right travel lanes were closed for approximately two hours while Troopers worked at the scene.

Assisting New Hampshire Troopers from Troop B were members of the Hooksett Fire Department and EMS.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is encouraged to contact Trooper T. Whelan at the New Hampshire State Police – Troop B Barracks at 603-223-3849.
