MANCHESTER, NH – A city man walking along South Willow Street suffered a head injury when he was struck by a truck pulling out of the Cactus Jack’s parking lot.

On Friday, May 15, 2015, at 6:12 p.m. the Manchester Police Department responded to an accident on the northbound side of South Willow Street, north of Jobin Drive.

The preliminary investigation indicates Phillip Pare, 31, of Manchester, was exiting the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy and Cactus Jack’s while driving his 2015 Chevy Silverado pickup truck. As Pare attempted to pull out onto South Willow Street he collided with Peter DelMatro, 58, of Manchester, who was walking south on South Willow.

DelMastro sustained a head injury as a result of the crash and was transported to the Elliot Hospital. He was listed in serious but stable condition.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors in this crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Manchester Police Traffic Unit Collision Reconstruction and Analysis Team. Anyone with information regarding this crash is urged to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
