Pedestrian struck, injured while crossing Granite Street

MANCHESTER, NH – Police are investigating an accident late Saturday night in which a female pedestrian was struck and injured.

Screen Shot 2017 05 14 at 7.37.24 AMOn May 13 at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Manchester Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Granite and Commercial streets involving a Chevrolet and a pedestrian. Responding units located a 23-year-old woman in the roadway, apparently injured.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian attempted to cross Granite Street as a vehicle, identified as a red 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer, was traveling east on Granite Street. when it collided with the woman.

The occupant in the motor vehicle was uninjured. However, the pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries and she was transported to the Elliot Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The identities of all persons involved are being withheld pending further investigation.
