Pedestrian seriously injured following accident on Beech Street

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police Traffic Unit is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at 6:25 a.m. Friday.

Officers responded to the intersection of Beech and Merrimack streets on Oct. 27 where they found a woman, 41, who had been struck by a van.

The victim was treated by emergency personnel and transported to the Elliot Hospital for trauma-related injuries. The 55-year-old driver of the 2013 Ford van was traveling east on Merrimack Street when he turned south on to Beech Street where the accident occurred.

The traffic unit is currently investigating the crash. It appears the pedestrian suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
