Paul M. Erickson, 82: Lifelong resident & Central grad who met love of his life at Pine Island Park

MANCHESTER, NH – Paul M. Erickson, 82, of Manchester, died on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 4, 1936 to John M. and Adeline Madeleine (Baccini) Erickson and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Paul attended Goffs Falls Elementary School and later graduated from Manchester High School Central class of 1954. Paul continued his education at the DeVry Technical Institute. He went on to work for the City of Manchester, Sanders Associates and later retired from the Derryfield School. In 1959, on the bridge at Pine Island Park he met the love of his life Christine. They have been married for 59 years. Paul also worked at the park as the Carousel Attendant.

He enjoyed collecting old cars and other antiques. He loved spending time at Hampton Beach with his family and boating at the Yacht Club on Massabesic lake. He will be missed by all who knew him. Paul lived for his family and cherished his grandchildren as a special gift.

Members of his family include his wife of 59 years, Christine (Leutert) Erickson of Manchester; his son, David P. Erickson and his wife Lisa of Manchester; his daughter, Carole Lessard and her husband Gary of Hooksett; 3 grandchildren, John A. Lessard, Emma L. Bourgoin and her husband, Christian and Christian L. Erickson.

Visiting hours will take place in the Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St, Manchester, on Thursday, January 10, from 5 to 7 pm. A memorial service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Fitch Unit at the Elliot Hospital, 1 Elliot Way, Manchester, NH 03103.
