Patricia A. Flower, 64: Loved gardening, cooking and crafts; cherished her family

Screen Shot 2015-12-08 at 5.22.57 PMMANCHESTER, NH – Patricia A. Flower, 64, of Manchester, died December 7, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Holyoke, Mass., on August 19, 1951, daughter of Elwin L. and Marion (Shuckle) Newton.

She was a graduate of Merrimack High School, Class of 1968.

Until her retirement, Patricia worked as a buyer at BAE Systems.

Patricia had a gift for gardening, cooking, and crafts, but she was happiest when spending time with her family, whom she showered with unconditional love and support. She will be fondly remembered as a dynamic person who touched the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know her.

She was predeceased by her daughter Nicole A. Vaillancourt, and a sister, Jane C. Thomson.

Family members include two daughters, Amanda Murray and her companion, Scott Syrene, of Manchester, and Lindsey Murray and her husband, Jon, of Hooksett; a son, James Flower III, of Manchester; three grandchildren: Tanner, Annalicia, and Lillian; her companion, Jeff Church, of Manchester; two brothers, Peter and Jeffrey Newton; several nieces and nephews.


Services: Calling hours will be held Friday Dec. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, in Manchester.

A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Urn burial of Patricia and her daughter, Nicole, will take place in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 1070 Holt Ave #4, Manchester, NH 03109.
