MANCHESTER, NH – Today, members of the Manchester Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office executed an administrative search warrant at 287-289 Lowell St. to investigate the presence of a possible illegal rooming house.  Because of the history and lengthy police contacts at the property, members of the Manchester Police Department, NH Fire Marshal’s Office and AMR assisted in the execution of the warrant.

Due to the nature of the original complaint / investigation, members of the City NET (Neighborhood Enhancement Team) was present including Manchester Health, City Clerk and Water Works.

During the course of the inspection, parties within the home were identified and fire department investigators remained at the scene, making contact with responsible parties to address issues observed in the home.

Evidence of an illegal rooming house was noted during the inspection and prior to investigators leaving, the home was returned to the status of a “two-family” home. The situation remains under investigation.
