MANCHESTER, NH — A free support group meeting for people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema) will be held Wed., Oct. 9 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Breathe New Hampshire, 145 Hollis St., Manchester. The topic will be pulmonary medications, presented by a respiratory therapist.
November is COPD Awareness Month — 65,000 Granite Staters are diagnosed with it, and almost as many more have it but have not been officially diagnosed. Breathe NH offers free support group meetings the second Tuesday of every other month downtown.
