Oct. 28: NHPR to broadcast live in-studio Manchester mayoral debate

CONCORD, NH – New Hampshire Public Radio, in collaboration with the New Hampshire Union Leader, will broadcast a live debate featuring the candidates in the upcoming mayoral election in Manchester.

In the race to lead New Hampshire’s largest city, incumbent Democrat Joyce Craig is being challenged by former state representative Victoria Sullivan, a Republican.

Craig and Sullivan will meet for a debate at NHPR’s Studio B in Concord on Monday, October 28. The debate will air live on NHPR from 2 to 3 p.m. Peter Biello, host of NHPR’s All Things Considered, will serve as host with Union Leader City Hall reporter Paul Feely joining him for the broadcast.

Topics for discussion with the two candidates may include education, the economy, crime and public safety, and substance abuse.

Voters will go to the polls for Manchester’s municipal election on Tuesday, November 5.
