CONCORD, NH – As state epidemiologist Dr. Benjamin Chan stated at Wednesday afternoon’s press conference, the state is averaging between 500 – 550 new cases per day. DHHS continues to work through the backlog of cases from previous days and will issue additional data once it has been analyzed.
During Wednesday’s news conference Chan said the state is still focused on vaccines, noting that those who remain unvaccinated are at a 5-6-times higher risk of contracting COVID, 10-times more at risk of hospitalization and 11-times more at risk for death.
Data normally updated on the state’s website is still being tabulated after a few days of technical difficulties. No data was released by DHHS on Tuesday.
Chan announced 11 additional deaths related to COVID-19 Oct. 26-27:

- 1 female resident of Coos County, 60 years of age and older
- 1 male resident of Coos County, 60 years of age and older
- 1 male resident of Grafton County, 60 years of age and older
- 1 female resident of Hillsborough County, 60 years of age and older
- 1 male resident of Hillsborough County, 60 years of age and older
- 1 male resident of Merrimack County, 60 years of age and older
- 1 male resident of Rockingham County, 60 years of age and older
On 10/27/2021 NH DHHS identified:
- 1 male resident of Belknap County, 60 years of age and older
- 1 female resident of Coos County, 60 years of age and older
- 2 male residents of Hillsborough County, 60 years of age and older
There are currently 207 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19.
