WHAT: We’ll learn the backstory of NH and federal energy policies along with international developments which have resulted in today’s high energy prices.  While we examine the paths taken or not taken, we will also consider possibilities for the future.

WHY: Everyone in New Hampshire uses energy of some sort.  Candidates from every party are seizing on the price of energy as a campaign issue.  But only by understanding our current situation and how we got here can we sensibly develop and implement plans that will bring us stable and sustainable energy sources for the future.  Whether we’re thinking of enhanced NHSaves, more aggressive renewable energy resource development, demand response measures, battery storage, EV charging stations, community power, offshore wind, or Liquified Natural Gas, the sooner we can draft forward-looking energy policy and take necessary steps to implementation, the sooner we can take control of our energy future.
