MANCHESTER, NH — The public is invited to an election forum at the Manchester City Library auditorium, 405 Pine St., on Oct. 24. The event is co-hosted by Rights & Democracy New Hampshire, Manchester Ink Link, and New Hampshire Youth Movement. The event is a nonpartisan municipal election forum open to all mayoral, school board, and aldermanic at-large candidates.
The format is an equal time Q&A style, with questions being asked by a moderator. Each group of candidates will be onstage separately and asked to respond to questions directly related to the offices they are seeking.
Each participating candidate will have time for an opening and closing statement to answer up to five questions from the moderator and audience. While there will be no spontaneous audience interaction or direct questions from the audience, attendees will be allowed to submit questions via notecard.
The event will also be streamed live via Rights & Democracy NH’s Facebook for those who cannot attend.
