MANCHESTER, NH – Revived and building on its commitment to helping frail, elderly and disabled individuals lead independent lives, The CareGivers Inc. will host an Open House on Sunday, November 18 from noon to 3 p.m. at its 1 Perimeter Road office in Manchester.

While mourning the death of its longtime president, the organization recently restructured management and implemented fiscal controls to hone its dedication to serving hundreds of low-income, homebound and vulnerable clients relying on volunteer-based services of transportation, companionship and groceries, all provided free of charge.

“This is a unique time for us as an organization, as we undoubtedly still face some heartache,” said James Wilkie, a Bedford resident and CareGivers’ volunteer now serving as interim president and CEO. “It’s also a time of opportunity, as our work and dedication to elderly residents across the region remain unchanged. As New Hampshire’s population continues to age, more seniors need help and our staff and volunteers will continue to provide the best support possible. This Open House is a way to come together, look forward to the next phase and together, celebrate the amazing collective group of people who make our mission a reality every day.”

The Open House will feature a raffle including New England Patriots’ memorabilia and gift certificates, and attendees can enjoy food, beverages and children’s activities. You may also bring a non-perishable food item and be eligible to win door prizes. Food items support the Caring Cupboard, a pantry on wheels, which has delivered almost 90,000 pounds of essential groceries to 412 households so far this year.
